This Tour
Begin your 2-hour walking tour with a walk to John F. Kennedy's grave site to see the eternal Flame lit by Jackie Kennedy over 50 years ago. Your guide provides you with an extensive history of Arlington cemetery and a leisure walking route throughout the grounds. You will conclude your tour with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and witness the Changing of the Guard, a long running ceremony considered by many to be one of the can't-miss things in Washington DC to see.
Important Note: The Arlington tour is recommended only for guests who can stand and walk briskly for the duration of the tour. It is not suitable for individuals with mobility challenges (including but not limited to those using wheelchairs, canes, walkers, oxygen tanks, or scooters) or for guests accompanied by small children or infants in strollers.
Helpful Instructions and REcommendations
There will be extensive walking throughout the tour, so guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.
Most of the tour takes place outdoors. Please plan for the weather—umbrellas are recommended.
Food and drinks, other than water, are not permitted inside Arlington National Cemetery.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start time.
Hotel pick-up and drop-off are not provided.
Paid parking is available at Arlington National Cemetery. Guests who park there will need to return to Arlington on their own from the Lincoln Memorial at the end of the tour.
