About This Tour

Explore the heart of America’s legislative and judicial branches—home to the U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court, and other significant institutions that shape the nation’s government.


Every site is within walking distance of each other, allowing you to see it all with ease and without the rush. Along the way, admire the area’s distinctive architecture and immerse yourself in the rich political history that continues to define Washington, D.C.


About the Library of Congress Tour: With this tour, you will be offered ticket to get inside the Capitol and visit the Rotunda, the Crypt and old house chambers and other areas of the seat of Congress.


You will tour the halls of the Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building with a live narration by your guide. If you’re a history buff, you will discover there the largest public collection of knowledge in the world.


Important Note: On Mondays, the Library of Congress is not included in the tour as it’s closed. The tour on Mondays will include a survey of the Supreme Court and Library of Congress from outside, before touring inside of the U.S. Capitol building. This tour will also include visiting three historic rooms of the U.S. Capitol building, such as the Crypt, Rotunda and Statuary Hall. The tour experience will last approximately one hour and forty minutes to two hours


Helpful Instructions and REcommendations

There will be extensive walking throughout the tour, so guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.


A portion of the tour takes place outdoors. Please plan for the weather—umbrellas are recommended.


Washington, D.C. can be very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, so please dress accordingly.


Hotel pick-up and drop-off are not provided.
